Artworks for home textile- Water Lilies on coverlet bedspread

The National Gallery of Victoria presents Van Gogh and the Seasons for the 2017 Melbourne Winter Masterpieces exhibition, the largest collection of Van Gogh artworks to ever travel to Australia. Viewers are invited to explore Van Gogh’s profound connection to nature through nearly 50 paintings and drawings, many of which depict places that were the setting for defining moments in the artist’s tumultuous life. Van Gogh and the Seasons provides insight into the influences and themes that dominate much of this visionary artist’s work.

I am sorry that I don’t have a chance to view those artworks though staying in Melbourne for trade show. If memory serves me right, Van Gogh’s Starry night has been widely used for home textile such as curtain, duvet cover and cushion case.

I may give it a go for another artist’s painting for next season coverlet bedspread even French pure linen collection, that is Water Lilies by Claude Monet. With mingling water and sky, Monet creates a peaceful meditation within a flowering, watery surround. French pure linen with this printing is OK, but how to pick up a colourway of reverse side fabric for coverlet bedspread, I may choose one from main colourways from Lilies Pond.
